This is our discounted Texas LTC class for Texas correctional officers. This is the state approved online Texas license to carry class needed to get your Texas LTC. Our online course can be taken by correctional officers statewide. Our online LTC class (formerly called CHL class) is the class that is required to carry both open and concealed in Texas.

Since the license to carry now allows both open and concealed carry they renamed it “license to carry” (LTC) instead of ‘concealed carry” (CHL). It’s the same license with a new name. Our online course can be taken at your own pace and it works on all devices including your smartphone.

Exempt From The Shooting Portion

Texas correctional officers are exempt from the shooting portion and only need our online class to get their Texas license to carry. Below is a list of TDCJ employees that are exempt from the shooting portion.

• Correctional Officer I, II, III, IV, or V
• Sergeant of Correctional Officers
• Lieutenant of Correctional Officers
• Captain of Correctional Officers
• Major of Correctional Officers
• Warden
• Assistant Warden
• Food Service Manager II, III, and IV
• Laundry Manager II, III, and IV
